AP Racing, the leading manufacturer of performance brake and clutch systems. has announced an exclusive racing brake partnership with carbon composites specialist HITCO, an affiliate of German based SGL Carbon.
Since 2008, AP Racing has exclusively represented HITCO in all markets except Formula 1, Formula 2 and North America. Now, as of July 2019, it has agreed to work closer than ever with the materials supplier across all global motorsport markets.

AP Racing boasts an unrivalled motorsport pedigree spanning over half a century supplying countless championship winning Formula 1 teams. The Coventry-based performance manufacturer has worked with HITCO for more than 30 years, delivering carbon brakes to numerous markets including LMP1 and 2, Dpi, DTM and SGT.
HITCO pioneered the first carbon/carbon brakes for Formula 1 in the early 80s. The California based company holds the distinction of having won Formula 1 World Championships, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Indy 500, and having helped NASA land a man on the moon.
As international racing rules continue to evolve and become increasingly stringent, this will ensure high-quality carbon/carbon braking systems are being designed and built to the individual requirements of each series.
