AP Racing announces major investment for Coventry HQ

AP Racing, has announced a major investment at its global headquarters in Coventry. Following business growth, the six-figure capital injection includes an innovative office redesign and a revamped training programme for its 180 employees.

Revitalised to reflect the company’s continued global growth, the updated office facility on Seven Stars Industrial Estate in Coventry provides a modern and flexible working space for its team. Following an extensive planning process, which assessed how the business can better utilise the space for its employees, the office now features additional communal space, including team meeting areas and a hub for taking breaks.

At the centre of the design was ensuring the space enables interaction and collaboration among business units and supports the development of junior members of the team, including apprentices and graduates, by better exposing them to the wealth of knowledge across the business.

The next phase of the investment will see the completion of a new paint facility in AP Racing’s manufacturing centre, which will enable the business to complete a larger volume and greater complexity of paint work on-site.

David Hamblin, Managing Director at AP Racing, commented: “Our newly refurbished office space looks amazing. I’ve always been proud to work at AP Racing but perhaps never more so than now. Our team, their knowledge and their passion is the lifeblood of our business, so it’s vital we invest in ensuring their working facilities and training are not only fit for today but tomorrow.

“The COVID-19 pandemic limited the opportunities for us to develop the next generation of AP Racing, so we’ve invested in a working environment and training budget that allows us to best support young talent. We have an incredible wealth of experience and knowledge in our team, many of whom started off as trainees with us and are now reaching retirement age, and we want to ensure we provide the space for this to be shared.”

The investment follows the announcement earlier this year that AP Racing had opened its first US office in Charlotte, North Carolina. It operates under a new legal entity, AP Racing North America Corporation (APRNA).
