AP Racing celebrates another thrilling INDYCAR season as sole clutch supplier.

AP Racing is celebrating another compelling NTT INDYCAR Series after its race-proven clutch technology supported every team and car across the grid throughout the 2026 season.

The Coventry-based manufacturer has supplied brake and clutch systems to INDYCAR for more than 40 years. Serving as sole clutch supplier since 2024, AP Racing provides the entire field with its ultra-lightweight, three-plate, 10-bolt CP8278. Specifically developed for the demands of open-wheel racing, the clutch combines low weight and durability with precise modulation and reduced wear.

The device features a pull-type configuration, while a cushion pressure plate system helps with clutch modulation. AP Racing also supplies the grid with a bespoke slave cylinder to complement the clutch system, which can be used in different installations to suit the needs of teams and drivers.

Of those, Alex Palou secured his fifth drivers’ championship at the Milwaukee Mile on August 29-30, while Chip Ganassi Racing claimed a record-breaking 18th series title. AP Racing congratulates Palou, Chip Ganassi Racing and everyone involved in reaching these significant milestones.
