AP Racing celebrates landmark 1,000th Formula 1 Grand Prix

Leading manufacturer of high-performance brake and clutch systems, AP Racing, is celebrating a historic 1,000 Formula 1 Grand Prix appearances as trusted component supplier to the series.

The milestone was reached at the Canadian Grand Prix on 24 May, marking another extraordinary chapter in AP Racing’s almost six-decade Formula 1 story. From its first Grand Prix win at the 1967 Dutch Grand Prix with Jim Clark and Lotus, through to the most advanced hybrid era of modern racing, AP Racing technology has remained at the heart of Formula 1 performance.

With more than 900 Grand Prix victories achieved supplying brakes and clutches to the sport, AP Racing’s race-winning components have helped deliver championship titles to some of F1’s most iconic drivers and teams, delivering the precision, reliability and control needed in a series where success is measured in milliseconds.

For the 2026 Formula 1 season, AP Racing is supplying 8 out of 11 teams on the grid with high-performance systems. This continued dominance reinforces the British manufacturer’s position as one of the most trusted engineering partners in global motorsport, supporting teams as they adapt to a new era of technical regulations and performance demands.
