Power, precision and performance: AP Racing leads the 2026 Formula 1 paddock
Ahead of the highly anticipated 2026 Formula 1 season, leading manufacturer of high-performance brake and clutch systems, AP Racing, has announced that 8 of 11 teams will be using its race-winning brake and clutch systems. This dominance over the newly expanded grid – which sees the addition of new team Cadillac for the forthcoming season, increasing the number of cars on track from 20 to 22 – underlines AP Racing’s position as the trusted brake and clutch supplier to international motorsport series.
Having achieved its first F1 win almost 60 years ago, AP Racing continues to drive advanced developments in high-performance brake and clutch systems. As some of the most demanding customers in the world, the teams racing with AP Racing components rely on the British manufacturer to deliver across every lap of the 24-race calendar. The company’s state-of-the-art brake calipers, clutches and master cylinders are integral to the success of the series’ most prominent teams as they seek every competitive edge.
Richard Gregory, Director of Sales at AP Racing, commented: “Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motorsport, representing the cutting edge of design and engineering. This season represents even greater challenges, with the greatest shake-up in car regulations for a generation, so we’re immensely proud that once again the grid has placed their trust in AP Racing.
“Our blend of cutting-edge engineering and season-proven dependability underpins our strong presence across the Formula 1 grid. In a championship decided by the smallest of margins, AP Racing continues to play a vital role in helping drivers and teams secure every hundredth of a second.”
Following last year’s fiercely contested season, F1 2026 has been reshaped like never before. New regulations have dramatically changed chassis, aerodynamics and powertrain elements, with brake and clutch systems overhauled ahead of a season that will push cars and drivers to the very limit. Whether it’s the high-speed straights of Monza or the twisty street circuit of Monaco, AP Racing’s components will play a pivotal role in determining race winners throughout the year.
AP Racing, which is part of the Brembo group, remains committed to supporting Formula 1 as the championship evolves, using the series as a proving ground for next-generation braking technologies that ultimately benefit customers across motorsport and high-performance road applications.
