AP Racing tech to feature throughout 24 Hours of Daytona

Ahead of the 63rd Rolex 24 at Daytona, world-leading brake and clutch manufacturer AP Racing has announced that its pioneering technologies will feature on almost 75% of the grid.

An impressive 45 of 61 drivers will be using AP Racing brakes, clutches and associated components at this year’s race, which takes place at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida between 27-28 January.

In the LMP2 class, all entrants will be running AP Racing carbon discs while, in the GTD and GTD PRO classes, three quarters of teams are set to use I-drive iron discs and/or both front and rear calipers. Finally, more than half of GTP entrants will also be running AP Racing calipers.

To ensure race-winning performance, engineers from AP Racing will be on hand throughout the event to provide track-side support.

Richard Gregory, director of sales at AP Racing, said: “We’ve been developing and supplying products to teams at the 24 Hours of Daytona for a number of years. To see an increasing percentage of the grid using our products to achieve world-beating braking advantage is incredible.

“As a true pinnacle of endurance racing, we’re renowned around the world for our superior performance parts. Having so many teams choosing our products this year is testament to our commitment to excellence.

Best of luck to all teams racing this weekend.”
